Request a Book International Campus Patrons

What can I request?

Due to the high cost of international shipping, we do not ship books or media.  Webster University Fair Use Guidelines do allow us, however, to copy and post up to 25% of a book.

Does the library own the book as an eBook?

First, check to see if we have it available as an eBook by looking it up in the library catalog.

If we don't have the book available as an eBook...

Use your Interlibrary Loan/Document Delivery account (ILLiad)  to request a book chapter.

  1. Log into your Interlibrary Loan/Document Delivery account (ILLiad).
  2. Click the "Request a Book Chapter" link on the left side of the screen, fill out the form as completely as possible, and submit your request.

How long do I have to wait before the chapter or chapters arrive?

If the book from which you've requested a chapter or chapters is available from the Webster University library's collections we will copy and post the requested chapter or chapters within two business days (excluding weekends and holidays).

If, however, we have to find another library to lend us the book, it takes an average of 10 working days for us to receive and post the requested chapter(s) to your Interlibrary Loan/Document Delivery account (ILLiad) and notify you via the e-mail you submitted when you first logged into your Interlibrary Loan/Document Delivery account (ILLiad). You may also log into your Interlibrary Loan/Document Delivery account (ILLiad) at any time in order to check on the status of your request(s).

If we are unable to fill your request we will notify you via the e-mail you submitted when you first logged into your Interlibrary Loan/Document Delivery account (ILLiad). You may also log into your Interlibrary Loan/Document Delivery account (ILLiad) at any time in order to check on the status of your request(s).
