Placing a hold on library materials prevents others from checking it out before you can visit the library, and can make it easier to pick materials up.

When you find a book, DVD, or video game in the library catalog that you'd like to hold, click request.

Then, fill out the form to place the request under your library account. Enter your name and 7-digit Webster ID number, followed by EWL (example: 1234567EWL). Your Webster ID number can be found on your Webster ID card or in your connections account.

You will receive an email at your Webster University email address when the material is ready to pick up. If you arrive at the library before you receive this email, it will still be reserved for you, but may not be ready for you to pick up at the first floor desk. If this happens, you may retrieve the book from the shelf or ask staff for help.

Note; During COVID-19 repsonse, contactless pickup will be available for holds in the area inside the front entrance, facing Edgar Road.
