Request a book - U.S.A. patrons outside of Missouri Your location plus the location and availability of the book(s) you’re requesting determines how long it will take the book to arrive at your home. We use FedEX to ship packages via normal ground shipping to you at your home address of record Monday-Friday (excluding holidays). FedEx DOES NOT SHIP TO P.O. BOXES. |

Use the MOBIUS library catalog to see if the book is available from Webster University Library, Luhr Reading and Reference Library or any other MOBIUS library (the Missouri library consortium to which Webster belongs). Step One: Click the title to open the book record and make sure that the word AVAILABLE appears in the status field. If anything else appears in that field then the book is not available for you to borrow. Step Two: If the book is AVAILABLE you can request it by pressing the "Place a hold" icon at the top of the page. Step Three: You may be prompted to login. Select Webster University from the list of universities. (If they ask for more login credentials, use your Webster email information.) Choose the pickup location "EWL -- Webster US Sites" and click "Place Hold". How do I know where the book is located and if it is available? If the book is available at the Webster University library in St. Louis the Location will state Webster Books and the Status will state AVAILABLE If the book is available from the Eden Stored or Eden Storage collection in St. Louis the Location will state either Eden Sem. Stored Books-Request Item or Eden Sem. Storage Books-Request Item and the Status will be AVAILABLE If the book is available at another MOBIUS library the Location will neither say Webster nor Eden and the Status will be AVAILABLE How and when will I get the book? How: We are going to ship each book to you from the home campus in St. Louis. We use FedEx to ship books via normal ground shipping to your address of record. FedEX DOES NOT SHIP TO P.O. BOXES. We include a pre-paid return shipping label as well as instructions on how to request renewals and how to return the book(s) to us. When: Webster Books: We pull books from our local collections (Webster books) every day but ship them Monday through Friday. Depending on your location it will take the book 3-4 days (excluding holidays and weekends) to arrive at your home address of record after we ship it. Eden Stored or Eden Storage Books: We receive a delivery of books from the Eden Stored and Eden Storage Collections on Tuesdays and Thursdays. So, for example, if you request one of these books on a Friday, we won’t be able to ship it to you until Tuesday afternoon. Again, depending on your location, it will take the book 3-4 days (excluding holidays and weekends) to arrive at your home address of record after we ship it). MOBIUS Books: It takes an average of 4-5 business days (excluding holidays and weekends) for a MOBIUS book to arrive at the Webster University Library in St. Louis. Then, depending on your location, it will take an additional 3-4 business days (excluding weekends and holidays) for the book to arrive at your home address of record after we ship it. None of the Above: I can’t find the book in your library or any other MOBIUS library?
If we find a lending library it takes an average of 10 working days (excluding weekends and US holidays) for the book to arrive at Webster University Library. Lending libraries send the book to us NOT you. After the book arrives here in St. Louis, we will use UPS to ship it to you at your address of record in a box which will include a pre-paid return label along with instructions on how you may renew and return the book to us. The lending library establishes the due date so the circulation period will vary from as little as a few days to as much as two to three weeks. If we are unable to fill your request we will notify you via the e-mail you submitted when you first logged into you Interlibrary Loan/Document Delivery account (ILLiad). You may also log into your Interlibrary Loan/Document Delivery account (ILLiad) at any time in order to check on the status of your request(s).
