How do I find an article written as a case study?

Answer

Many business magazines and trade publications publish short articles outlining how an organization or individual handled a business or management problem. Scholarly journals may provide articles that examine an organizational challenge in more depth using the case study method as a research tool.

You may search for these types of articles in library business databases, such as Business Source Complete. For example, you might search:

amazon AND case study

decision making AND case study

Additional examples of searches and suggested databases may be found on the Article databases for case studies page of the Business Case Studies research guide or Contact a Librarian for help.

Please note: Cases published commercially, e.g. Harvard Business, must be purchased by/for each student in a class. More details can be found on the case studies research guide and FAQ linked below.
